#Twittertrends Week of August 23rd - 29th

Amar'e Stoudemire (#amaretriviaquiz)
Every week the newest New York Knick center, Stoudemire (@Amareisreal), puts on a trivia quiz on twitter. First, he tells his follows that today's is the day for a quiz and the first one to respond with the correct answer wins something. One time it was a personalized Stoudemire PSP and this time was New York Liberty playoffs tickets.

Yesterday he asked his 131,245 follows. "Name the team and the mascot standing next to me in this picture? [which was a pick of Maddie the mascot of the WNBA's New York Liberty]"

I must admit I had to Google the New York Liberty mascot name and tweeted exactly one minute later and still lost.

Soccer (#championsleague)

The Champions League has officially kicked off this year and with the World Cup ending in July, the itch for soccer is still in the air. Big news came when it was officially announced that Real Madrid, AC Milan and Ajax (who have won 20 European Cups between the three clubs), will meet in the group stage of the Champions League.

This is the second season in a row that Madrid (#madrid) and AC Milan (#milan) have been put into the group.
